Our Diverse Demographics
Juarez Elementary School boasts a culturally diverse student population. Our students come from many different backgrounds including Mexican, Colombian, Peruvian, Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, Somalian, Brazilian, French, and Ukrainian.
Our general student population includes approximately 57% Hispanic, 18% White, 5% Asian, and 9% African American students enrolled. Approximately 25% of our pupils are Choice students and attend our school from other areas of San Diego. The remainder of our students are neighborhood students. Approximately 57% of our students fall in the Title I category and qualify for free or reduced lunch. Approximately 16% of our students speak a language other than English at home. Approximately 13% of our students have learning disabilities.
